Overview

An industry still running on referrals.

The traditional process of finding reliable home service professionals is fragmented, time-consuming, and often based on uncertainty. Customers struggle to discover trustworthy technicians, understand pricing, schedule appointments, and ensure quality service. Meanwhile, skilled professionals face challenges finding consistent work and managing their customer relationships.

To solve this gap, Grootcore Systems is building Yerow — a next-generation on-demand services marketplace designed to connect customers with skilled professionals through a seamless digital experience.

Yerow brings together customers, service providers, and marketplace operations into a unified platform, enabling users to discover services, request assistance, manage bookings, and build trusted relationships with professionals.

The challenge

Creating trust in the home services industry.

The market has traditionally relied on informal networks, referrals, and disconnected providers — which fails both sides at once.

For customers

  • Finding reliable professionals is difficult
  • Limited visibility into provider experience and reputation
  • Scheduling and communication are often inefficient
  • Little control over service tracking and management

For service providers

  • Finding new customers consistently is challenging
  • Managing bookings manually creates operational overhead
  • Building credibility and showcasing expertise is difficult
  • No centralized platform to grow their business

The vision

More than a service listing platform — a complete ecosystem.

Customers can easily find and book trusted professionals. Service providers can grow their businesses and manage their workflow digitally. And the platform itself can intelligently connect demand with supply.

Platform architecture

Two experiences, one marketplace.

Grootcore is engineering Yerow as a full-scale marketplace platform that simplifies the entire service lifecycle — from discovering a provider to completing a job.

01 / Customer experience

Find, book, track, and rate.

A customer opens the app to a single question — what needs fixing today? — and either browses a service category or posts a task outright. The posting flow collects the category, a plain-language description, photos and audio, a flexible budget range, and a location, then tells them how many pros are nearby before they commit.

Offers come back within minutes and are directly comparable: each shows the pro's rating and jobs completed, a quoted price range against the customer's budget, distance, an arrival ETA, and a short pitch — sortable by recommended, lowest price, top rated, or fastest. From there the customer tracks the job, messages the pro, pays, and leaves a rating.

02 / Service provider experience

A digital business, not just a listing.

Providers get a working day, not a directory listing. A going-online toggle controls availability; the feed shows nearby jobs ranked by urgency and distance with the customer's budget attached, so a pro can judge fit before spending time on it. Submitting an offer is a price, an ETA, and a short message — deliberately quick, because speed is what wins jobs.

Provider profiles showcase skills and expertise, service categories, experience, previous work, and customer feedback, while a wallet tracks available balance, weekly earnings, jobs completed, average rating, and cash-outs to the bank.

For independent professionals, the platform is a digital business presence that increases visibility and reach.

03 / Marketplace engineering

The systems underneath both sides.

Building Yerow means solving the classic marketplace problems: a scalable identity system supporting customers, providers and administrators; a service discovery engine that organizes categories and matches requirements to suitable professionals; a communication layer carrying interactions through the service journey; and an admin console giving operational visibility into users, providers, bookings, service activity, and marketplace performance.

04 / Booking workflow

One lifecycle, end to end.

Every job moves through a single, well-defined lifecycle — so both sides always know where a request stands.

Building for scale

A marketplace succeeds when both sides grow together.

The architecture is designed so growth on either side doesn't require rebuilding the platform underneath it.

Yerow is in active development. The platform is being built to deliver four outcomes.
